                           Harford County Housing Market May 2017

There was an increase in total units sold in June, with 432 sold this month over May in Harford County Real Estate, an increase of 5%. June’s total units sold is similar compared to a year ago.

Versus last year, the total number of homes available in June was lower by 364 units or 25%. The total number of active inventory in June was 1,101 compared to 1,465 in June 2016. June’s total of 1,101 is lower than the previous month's total supply of available inventory of 1,115, a decrease of 1%. 

In June, there was 2.5 months of supply available in Harford County, compared to 3.4 in June 2016. That is a decrease of 25% versus a year ago. Months of supply is calculated by dividing current inventory by current sales. It indicates how many months would be needed to sell all the inventory available at the current rate of demand. 

In June, there were 549 homes newly listed for sale in Harford County compared to 577 in June 2016, a decrease of 5%. There were 412 current contracts pending sale this June compared to 362 a year ago. The number of current contracts is 14% higher than last June.
